- Fee covers application review, access to training resources, and ensures commitment
- Non-refundable, limited seats per start date
Step 2: Mandatory Informational Meeting/Pre-Screen
- Required for all serious applicants
- Must be attended before scheduling a Learn & Earn orientation or receiving a Nerd Network interview invite
- Purpose: Answer questions, provide transparency, and clarify expectations
Step 3: Interview / Invite Confirmation
- Learn & Earn applicants: RSVP & confirm your orientation session
- Direct Nerd Network applicants: Schedule an interview after the informational meeting
- Ensures readiness and commitment for workshops or paid projects
Step 4: Live Project-Specific Workshop (Learn & Earn)
- 3 day hands-on workshop for a specific project type
- Build a real client project with guidance from an experienced Nerd
- Project counts as portfolio-ready, real-world work experience—your first professional piece to showcase
- Opportunity for pay if client selected
- Learn practical, applicable skills you can immediately use
Step 5: Complete Workshop
- Submit your completed client project
- Successful completion unlocks access to Nerd Network paid projects of that type
Step 6: Join Nerd Network
- Gain access to remote paid projects matching your workshop/employment type
- Workshop graduates are prioritized when making hiring decisions
Step 7: Pick Projects
- Browse available paid projects
- Pick projects with deadlines you can meet
- Work remotely and manage your workflow independently
Step 8: Work & Earn
- Complete projects and submit them
- Receive bi-weekly payment
- Grow earnings as you take on more projects and expand your portfolio
