Business Growth Partner
Find out how we can help your business. Learn more
Learn how to confidently navigate objections, build trust, reinforce value, and guide clients toward informed decisions without pressure.
Estimated Time: 30–35 Minutes
By the end of this module you will be able to:
An objection doesn’t mean a client isn’t interested.
More often, it means they need more clarity, confidence, or information before making a decision.
Great consultants don’t argue.
They explore.
Every objection is an opportunity to better understand the client’s perspective and ensure the recommendation truly aligns with their goals.
The goal isn’t to “win” the conversation.
The goal is to help the client make the best decision for their business.
Every objection should follow the NOCS L.I.S.T.E.N. Framework.
L — Listen
Allow the client to finish speaking.
Don’t interrupt.
Take notes if necessary.
Clients want to feel heard before they want to hear your solution.
I — Identify
Determine the real concern.
Ask yourself:
Is this about…
The first objection is often not the real objection.
S — Show Understanding
Acknowledge the concern before responding.
Examples:
“That’s a great question.”
“I completely understand.”
“Many business owners have that same concern.”
Validation lowers resistance and builds trust.
T — Teach
Share relevant information.
Explain why the recommendation exists.
Educate rather than persuade.
E — Explore
Ask another question.
“Can you tell me more about that?”
“What concerns you most about that?”
“Is your biggest concern the investment or making sure it’s the right fit?”
N — Next Step
Based on what you’ve learned:
Not every client should receive the same recommendation.
What It Usually Means
Clients may be saying:
Recommended Response
“I completely understand. Most business owners want to be confident they’re making the right investment. Can I ask—is your biggest concern the budget itself, or making sure the investment will deliver the results you’re looking for?”
Possible Next Steps
If budget is the concern:
The goal is not to discount the service but to find a solution that fits the client’s needs.
Understanding the Concern
The client believes hiring internally may be a better investment.
“Hiring can absolutely be the right decision for some businesses. One difference with NOCS is that you’re gaining access to a multidisciplinary team with expertise across strategy, development, branding, design, content creation, and optimization rather than relying on a single hire.”
Follow-Up Question
“What are you hoping an employee would help you accomplish?”
This helps determine whether internal hiring or NOCS is the better fit.
“That’s great to hear. What areas are they currently supporting?”
Listen first.
Many clients work with multiple specialists.
NOCS may fill gaps rather than replace an existing partner.
Follow-Up Questions
“AI is an incredible tool, and we use it ourselves to improve efficiency. However, AI still requires strategy, direction, quality assurance, implementation, and ongoing optimization. Our team combines technology with human expertise to create solutions tailored to your business.”
Key Principle
AI is a tool.
NOCS provides expertise.
“I understand why it might sound that way. Launchpad is an implementation experience where you’ll actively build your business alongside professionals. You’ll leave with completed deliverables, ownership of those assets, and the confidence to maintain and continue growing them.”

Implementation
“Absolutely. Many clients begin with one service and expand over time. As your business grows, we can add services, combine solutions, or transition into a Business Growth Partner relationship if that’s the best fit.”
NOCS is designed to grow alongside the client.
Representatives should never create urgency by suggesting today’s decision is permanent.
“I completely understand. Time is one of the biggest challenges for business owners. That’s exactly why we offer different implementation models. If you’d rather stay focused on running your business, Business Growth Partner may be a better fit. If you’d like to invest a few focused days now to gain long-term independence, Launchpad may be the better option.”
For each objection:
Emily owns a growing salon.
She says:
“Everything sounds great, but honestly I don’t know if I can justify spending that much right now. I also don’t have time to learn everything myself.”
